Helping Children Communicate, Learn, and Connect.
Evidence-based speech, language, and literacy services for children and adolescents, with individualized support for every child and family.

“My daughter has been seeing Kate on a regular basis for almost 2 years. She has benefitted profoundly from the speech therapy, and I can warmly recommend Kate.”
How I Can Support Your Child
Speech Sounds & Articulation
Support for speech sound development and intelligibility, including lisps, difficulty producing the "r" sound, and persistent speech sound differences.
Language
Support for understanding and using language, including vocabulary, grammar, following directions, expressing ideas clearly, and developing communication skills for conversations and social situations
Literacy
Support for literacy development, including phonological awareness, decoding, spelling, reading comprehension, and written language.
Supporting Multilingual Children
Growing up with more than one language is a strength. Evaluations and therapy consider your child's complete language background, helping distinguish between differences related to multilingual development and areas where additional support may be needed.
“Kate is an absolute dream. She helped my son (5) and immediately improved not only his r-sound, but also boosted his confidence. A joyful and safe environment for him to learn.”
Finding the Right Starting Point
Before beginning therapy, we'll take time to understand your child's strengths, communication needs, previous support, and your priorities as a family.
01
Consultation
We'll begin with a complimentary consultation to discuss your concerns, your child's communication history, and any previous evaluations or support.
02
Screening or Evaluation
Depending on your child's needs, a screening or comprehensive evaluation may be recommended. A screening is a brief assessment used to determine whether further evaluation or support is needed, while an evaluation provides a more in-depth understanding of your child's strengths and needs.
03
Plan Together
We'll review the results together, discuss recommendations, and create a therapy plan based on your child's strengths, needs, and your family's priorities
“Kate came recommended to us from a fellow expat. We were looking for an independent speech evaluation for our 3-year-old son in his native language, English. Kate was excellent to work with.”
Individualized Therapy Built Around Your Child
Every child learns differently. Therapy is tailored to your child's strengths, interests, communication needs, and goals, combining evidence-based intervention with engaging activities and plenty of opportunities to practice new skills.
INDIVIDUALIZED GOALS
Therapy goals are based on assessment findings, family priorities, and your child's individual needs.
ENGAGING PRACTICE
Structured, age-appropriate activities provide repeated opportunities to learn, practice, and strengthen new skills.
FAMILY INVOLVEMENT
You'll receive strategies, resources, and home practice to help your child use new skills beyond therapy sessions.
PROGRESS MONITORING
Progress is tracked throughout therapy so goals and activities can be adjusted as your child's skills develop.
“Kate is fantastic! She helped my daughter tremendously and at the same time made it fun! My daughter was sad she no longer needed lessons and is asking if she can continue.”
Support That Fits Your Family
VIRTUAL THERAPY
25 or 50-minute individual therapy sessions via Zoom.
IN-PERSON SCREENINGS & EVALUATIONS
In-home screenings and evaluations are available by arrangement in the Zürich and surrounding areas.
SCHOOL COLLABORATION
With your permission, I can collaborate with teachers and other professionals supporting your child to help coordinate goals and strategies across environments.
“We reached out to Kate to help with our daughter's speaking in English. We do not live in Zürich, more like Geneva, so we organised all classes online, and it worked beautifully.”
Good to know.
Does my child need an evaluation before starting therapy?+
Not always. If your child has had a recent speech-language evaluation, I'll review the results and determine whether any additional assessment is needed before beginning therapy.
Do you work with multilingual children?+
Yes. Your child's complete language background is considered when assessing their communication skills and planning therapy. Speaking more than one language does not cause speech or language difficulties.
How long are therapy sessions?+
Therapy sessions are available in 25 or 50-minute formats, with after-school appointments available. The best option depends on your child's age, goals, and individual needs. Intensive therapy programs may also be arranged for a defined period of time or during school holiday breaks, depending on availability and your child's needs.
Can you collaborate with my child's school?+
Yes. With your permission, I can communicate with teachers, school-based therapists, and other professionals supporting your child to help coordinate goals and strategies across environments.
What if virtual therapy isn't the right fit for my child?+
Virtual therapy works well for many children, but it isn't the right fit for everyone. If you feel your child would benefit more from in-person therapy, I'm happy to help you find another provider who can better meet their needs.
Do you offer in-person services?+
Yes. In-home screenings and evaluations are available by arrangement in the Zürich and surrounding areas. Ongoing therapy is primarily provided virtually via Zoom.
“We can strongly recommend Kate. She is very sweet and competent, and our children had real fun with her while they learned to pronounce different sounds correctly.”
“Extremely competent, very flexible and fantastic with kids! Kate has really been helping us in the dyslexia journey and I would certainly recommend her to anyone!”
Let's Take the Next Step Together
You don't need to have everything figured out before getting in touch. A complimentary consultation is a supportive space to share your concerns, tell me about your child's strengths and communication needs, and ask questions. Together, we'll determine the most appropriate next step for your child and family.
